Samsung is gradually rolling out the September 2024 security for some devices, including the Galaxy Z 6 foldables and the Galaxy A55. Now the company has started distributing it to the Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy S21 series.
Career-locked Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S20 FE grabbed the September 2024 patch
Carrier-locked Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra are getting new updates with the firmware version numbers G991USQSCGXH2, G996USQSCGXH2, and G998USQSCGXH2, respectively. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S20 FE is getting a new update with the firmware version G781VSQSGHXH3.
With the latest update, the company will enhance the overall security of the devices. More specifically, the update has arrived for the Verizon-locked models. It is expected that the company will soon expand the update to more units.
According to the official documentation, the September 2024 security patch has brought more than 60 patches, where Google has included 46 patches to eradicate the vulnerabilities regarding Android OS. Along with this, Samsung has also introduced 23 exclusive patches for the Galaxy devices.
