Samsung is on track to provide the August 2024 security update to its Galaxy devices; meanwhile, the brand is expanding the update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series widely on more carriers in the US.
Carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra, have started receiving the latest August 2024 security update on more carriers in the US.
Expanding the update to more carriers, including T-Mobile, Verizon, Comcast, Spectrum Mobile, and Sprint, the update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series has arrived with its respective version number. The Galaxy Note 20 carries the N981USQS9HXH1 version number.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra comes with the N986USQS9HXH1 build number.
Meanwhile, this latest update brings several improvements to the device’s security that significantly deliver a more safe and secure environment to the users. However, users haven’t had any issues with the swipe-up to attend call feature, but the tapping function will add more customization to the call interface.
Apart from this, Galaxy S24 users who installed the One UI 6.1.1 update can now set the speaker as default, which gives the user to manage the device speaker on speaker when there’s no headset or Bluetooth device connected
