Samsung has rolled out the October 2024 security update for the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra, which has firmware version numbers G981BXXSMHXJ2, G986BXXSMHXJ2, and G988BXXSMHXJ2, respectively.
The update is also available for the 4G variants of the Galaxy S20 and S20+ devices, which have firmware version numbers G980FXXSMHXJ2, G985FXXSMHXJ2 respectively. As of this writing, the update has been spotted in Switzerland and is expected to be available in more countries in the coming days.
The latest update has brought some general security changes, which will remain the same as the devices’ visual appearance. However, the update is also expected to enhance the devices’ performance and stability.

If you are using the Galaxy S20 series in Europe, you should start getting new update notifications on your devices.
