Samsung is no mood to launch base Galaxy Tab S10 model with the Tab S10 lineup: Report
Samsung is preparing to launch its next Galaxy Tab S series, the Galaxy Tab S10 series, while we have already heard a lot of leaks and rumors regarding the upcoming Tab series. On that note, with the courtesy of a fresh report, it appears Samsung is in no mood to launch the base variant within the upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 lineup.
As confirmed via the information shared by Gizmochina, Samsung will probably exclude the base variant of the upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 lineup, which will have only two models: the Plus and the Ultra.
It was previously reported that Samsung will launch its next-generation tablet models sooner than expected; meanwhile, now it’s reported that the Korean smartphone brand is in no mood to introduce a base model in the Galaxy Tab S10 series while only including the Plus and the Ultra models.
In the IMEI database, the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra exist, having three different LTE model numbers. According to the database, the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus carries SM-X826B, SM-X826N, and SM-X828U, while the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra comes with SM-X926B, SM-X926C, and SM-X926N model numbers.
In addition, there are Wi-Fi variants of the models, consisting of model numbers: the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus has the SM-X820 model number, and the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra comes with the SM-X920 model number. The database does not carry the Galaxy Tab S10 model, which significantly hints that Samsung will not be introducing the base model with the next-generation tablet lineup.
Yesterday, Samsung released the November 2024 security patch for the Galaxy Tab S10 series devices in Europe, but it was limited to the 5G variants. Now, with the latest development, it is available for the Wi-Fi variants.

Samsung has rolled out the November 2024 patch for the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra devices with the firmware version number X820XXS2AXJ7 and X920XXS2AXJ7, respectively. The latest update has brought new improvements to the auto blocker with security enhancements.

Along with this, the update will also bring new enhancements for the auto blocker. As per the changelog, USB devices will not be allowed to connect to this device after the update except when charging.

However, there is no clue about the model number traced to the Galaxy XCover 8 series, but it is expected that the company may introduce the device at the same time as the XCover 8 Pro in mid-2025.
