Samsung is about to expand its smart wearable device offerings by introducing its next-generation Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra. Right before the official launch of the watch, Samsung has given an early look at what we can expect from the BioActive health sensor on the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7.

The Korean brand has showcased its new BioActive health sensor for the forthcoming Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra. The company revealed that it is introducing a brand new generation of BioActive health sensors and claimed that the new sensor will upgrade the reception of existing photodiodes and offer new LEDs that emit blue, yellow, violet, and ultraviolet light.

Regarding this, the brand has said that photodiodes perform more than double, creating more space and more LEDs with optimal arrangements, and new colors of LEDs open up new possibilities. The giant says that it is its most intelligent and preventative health experience yet.

The new BioActive sensor will boast improved hardware and permit it to monitor existing health metrics, for instance, heart rate and blood oxygen, with up to 30% more accuracy as compared to previous Galaxy Watches.

This new sensor will offer new and advanced functionalities, including the ‘Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs) Index.’ It is an indicator of metabolic health and biological aging on a cellular level.

The new BioActive health sensor on the upcoming watch will be beneficial for those who are more health-conscious, as it will offer more detailed health monitoring metrics.
