Galaxy Z Fold 6 & Z Flip 6 Lead the Way as First Foldables with Gemini Nano Compatibility
Samsung debuted its sixth-generation foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6. These are the record-breaking foldable smartphones in the tech industry, as they are the world’s first foldable devices to run Gemini Nano.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are not only the first foldable to run Galaxy AI out of the box but also the first phones to run Gemini Nano instead of Samsung’s own Gauss AI.
Gemini Nano is the smallest and one of the most efficient members of Google’s Gemini family of AI models. Google introduced this to run seamlessly on smartphones without even requiring a constant internet connection.
While a few older Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold series phones had access to Samsung’s AI features, The latest Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 models run One UI 6.1.1 out of the box, which offers a new AI experience powered by Google’s Gemini Nano LLM technology.
The report suggests that all the Galaxy AI features run Office even when Gemini Nano isn’t downloaded. The latest foldable phones ship with the AICore service pre-installed. AICore is Android’s system service, which handles downloading and updating the Gemini Nano model and can also run Google Message’s on-device Magic Compose version.
Before downloading the Gemini Nano model, the AICore application has a size of around 50 MB; once downloaded, it measures around 1 GB in file size. To understand the context and suggest replies accordingly, it uses the last 20 messages in the chat thread.
Currently, the Google Pixel 8 Pro and the Galaxy S24 are the only devices that run Gemini Nano, as listed by Google. Noticeably, the feature is present on the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. It is expected that Google could expand the list of compatible devices in the next few days.

Samsung Health monitor support end from December 23
Samsung has officially notified that it will discontinue the software support for the Samsung Health Monitor from December 23. According to the information, the Samsung health monitor new version 1.4.1 will support Android OS 9.0; support for 10.0 and 11.0 will be discontinued.
However, it doesn’t mean that the older version users will not get the functionality of the app. But it will be limited to ending the software support for the app for the respective Android version.
So Samsung has recommended its users update their phones to the latest version before the deadline to enjoy the services without any interruptions.
Samsung Health monitor features
