It’s important to note that the One UI 7 Beta will be running in its beta channel and is packed with several bugs and instabilities while also preventing several apps from functioning properly.

Meanwhile, you can be the first to enjoy and experience the latest Android 15-based Galaxy One UI 7 Beta program. Here is the entire process to join or access the beta program:

  • Enter into the Samsung Members app.
  • Log in with your Samsung Account. If you do not have a Samsung Account, create one.
  • Look for the “One UI Beta Program banner“. 
  • Tap to open the banner and register for the One UI Beta Program to complete the enrollment.

If you meet the eligibility requirements, you will be enrolled in the One UI Beta Program.

To install the beta software, you must be enrolled in the One UI Beta Program. Beta software updates are released gradually to participants of the program. To install the update on your device, go to “Settings > Software update > Download and install.”

Samsung has already confirmed that the One UI 7 beta program will be available in the coming months. To be prepared, the company has already started rolling out new updates to its stock application to make it compatible with the upcoming One UI version.

The ultimate goal of sending early support to several applications is to ensure that the Galaxy devices are ready to adapt the One UI 7 software quickly.

Earlier this month, Samsung started rolling out the latest security patch, the October 2024 patch, for Galaxy devices. The company initially introduced the update to the Galaxy S24 FE devices, then gradually expanded to more devices, but before going to the full list, let’s find out what this update brought.

October 2024 patch: What’s new

The October 2024 update is a general security patch that is specifically designed to bring security-related changes for the devices. According to the official documentation, there are more than 40 patches implemented through this update, where Google has included 30 patches to fix the Android OS-related issues.

Meanwhile, Samsung has also fixed 12 more vulnerability patches for the devices; it has also mentioned that it has patched different applications, including Sound Assistant, Samsung Internet, and Samsung Video Player. Samsung recently introduced the October 2024 patch to the Galaxy S24 FE devices, and following this trend, the company will gradually expand the update to more devices in the coming days. However, at the same time, the company is also removing or changing the frequency of some devices; let’s explore them.

Samsung has introduced the October 2024 patch details on its official site. With the official documentation, the company has also refreshed the scope section, which depicts the actual devices that are eligible to get the security patch updates. Now, with the latest October SMR document, two older documents are removed from the list: the Galaxy Tab A7 and Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G.

Apart from the retired device, the company has also changed the frequency of updates for the Galaxy A52s 5G. The device is shifted from the monthly update category to the quarterly security patch update.
