Samsung is gradually rolling out the October 2024 security patch update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones; earlier, the company rolled out an update for these devices in some regions, including Europe and the US.

However, in the US, the update was only live for the locked devices. Now, with the latest development, the update is spotted getting a new update for the unlocked variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 devices with the firmware version numbers F946U1UES4DXI9 and F731U1UES4DXI9, respectively.
The October 2024 security patch doesn’t bring any significant changes for the devices, but it will improve the overall security of the devices. According to the official documentation, there are more than 40 patches arriving for the devices.
More specifically, the 30 patches are included by Google to resolve the issues related to the Android OS security. Meanwhile, Samsung has also added some extra patches to fix the issues exclusively for the Galaxy devices.

Samsung Health monitor support end from December 23
Samsung has officially notified that it will discontinue the software support for the Samsung Health Monitor from December 23. According to the information, the Samsung health monitor new version 1.4.1 will support Android OS 9.0; support for 10.0 and 11.0 will be discontinued.
However, it doesn’t mean that the older version users will not get the functionality of the app. But it will be limited to ending the software support for the app for the respective Android version.
So Samsung has recommended its users update their phones to the latest version before the deadline to enjoy the services without any interruptions.
