One UI 6.1.1 features to officially be available on selected Galaxy devices

Samsung just unpacked its latest Galaxy Z foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 devices. Both of these models are indeed packed with several amazing features and enhancements and are pre-installed with Samsung’s One UI 6.1.1 version, which is a specialized build made for foldables. 

Since the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 have been introduced, users have been attracted to the new features introduced with the foldables; meanwhile, considering that, Samsung officially announced that it’s expanding these One UI 6.1.1-exclusive features to other selective Galaxy models as well. Here are the features and the selective models.

Camera features 

  • Auto Zoom

This mode can be found within the Flex Camera mode, exclusive to the Galaxy Z Flip 6. It allows users to easily recognize people or pets while automatically adjusting the zoom ratio using AI.

Eligible models: Galaxy Z Flip 5

  • Flex Camcorder

This feature is again exclusive to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, allowing users to open up the phone to 90° and hold it like a camcorder to shoot videos. 

Eligible models: Galaxy Z Flip 5

  • Instant Slowmo

Already supported on the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Fold 6, this feature allows users to immediately save the section they watched in Instant Slowmo. 

Eligible models: Galaxy Z Fold5/Flip5, Galaxy S23 series, and Galaxy Tab S9 series.

Gallery features 

  • Portrait Studio 

This feature allows users to change their appearance by picking up their preferred style with special portrait effects, including comic, 3D character, watercolor, and sketch, on their photo using AI.

Eligible models: Galaxy Z Fold4/Flip4, Galaxy Z Fold5/Flip5, Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S23 series, S24 series, Galaxy S23 FE, and Galaxy Tab S8/S9 series. 

  • Sketch to Image 

This feature allows you to add a sketch that’s drawn on the image.

Eligible models: Galaxy Z Fold4/Flip4, Galaxy Z Fold5/Flip5, Galaxy S22 series, S23 series, S24 series, Galaxy S23 FE, and Galaxy Tab S8/S9 series. 

  • Live Effect

Through this feature, users can create three-dimensional results by extracting depth from 2D images of people or pets. 

Eligible models: Galaxy Z Fold4/Flip4, Z Fold5/Flip5, Galaxy S22 series, S23 series, S24 series, Galaxy S23 FE, and Galaxy Tab S8/S9 series.

  • Motion Clipper 

This feature allows you to create GIF files and image/motion stickers by long-pressing on the motion photo. 

Eligible models: Galaxy Z Fold4/Flip4, Galaxy Z Fold5/Flip5, Galaxy S22 series, S23 series, S24 series, Galaxy S23 FE, and Galaxy Tab S8/S9 series.

Expert RAW’s Astro Portrait

The Galaxy Z Flip6 becomes the first device in the Flip series to get the Expert RAW mode, which lets users capture portraits as well as star photos together with the Astro Portrait feature. 

Eligible models: Galaxy S23/S24 series 

  • RAW Editor

DNG format editing can now be done in the Galaxy Photo Editor via Raw Editor. 

Eligible models: Galaxy Z Fold4/Flip4, Galaxy Z Fold5/Flip5, Galaxy S22 series, S23 series, S24 series, and Galaxy Tab S8/S9 series.

Samsung has delayed the One UI 7 beta program so much this year; now the good news is arriving: The beta program is expected to be live in the next couple of weeks.

One UI 7 beta may be available in the next 15 days

Last month, Samsung announced that One UI 7 will be available for Galaxy devices next year; this is related to the stable version. In addition, the beta program is also expected to be available later this year.

Samsung to organise SDC 2024 in Korea next month

Earlier this month, Samsung conducted SDC2024 in the US to discuss several topics based on the future opportunities. Now to go into more details, the company is preparing to do one more conference as SDC 2024 in Korea. It will hold the Samsung Developer Conference Korea 2024 online on November 21.

Samsung Electronics has been hosting developer events in various forms every year since 2014 to emphasize the improvement of software.

According to the information , the SDC 2024 in Korea will be attended by Jeon kyung-hoon, president and chief technology officer.
