Samsung August 2024 Update Resolves Major Xclipse Bug on some Exynos Galaxy models
Samsung, believe it or not, is the most consistent when it comes to delivering software updates to its entire Galaxy ecosystem. Considering that, the brand is perpetually refreshing all its eligible Galaxy devices with the latest August 2024 security update; meanwhile, the update notably brings a significant yet critical Xclipse GPU bug fix for the Samsung Galaxy Exynos 1480 and Exynos 2400.
Moreover, it appears like this Xclipse GPU bug eventually attacks the latest Exynos chipsets, including the Exynos 1480 that’s infused in Samsung’s mid-tier Galaxy A54, while on the other hand, there’s the Exynos 2400, which comes with the flagship models Galaxy S24 and S24+.
On that note, the Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+, and Galaxy A54 have already started getting the August 2024 security update in several regions, while this latest software update comes with a fix that significantly solves the Xclipse GPU issue.
It’s been noticed that the fix mentioned above comes as a part of Samsung’s only semiconductor patch in the Security Maintenance Release (SMR) that involves high CVE items: CVE-2024-3196.
In addition, Samsung has brought up plenty of CVEs and SVEs with its latest August 2024 Security Maintenance Release (SMR), which in turn significantly allows Galaxy devices to deal with several external threats while also keeping the devices safe and secure to offer a more secure experience to the users.
