Samsung Confirms Exynos 2500 Chip, will likely be used in Galaxy S25 Series
Finally, Samsung confirmed its in-house Exynos 2500 chip officially. For so long, the Exynos 2500 was in controversy for powering the Galaxy S25 series.
The Korean giant confirmed the actual existence of its latest Exynos 2500 chipset based on a 3nm process. The brand has already debuted its first 3nm process-based chipset, the Exynos W1000, earlier this year.
For now, the brand has confirmed the development of the Exynos 2500. It is expected that the brand will power future high-end devices with this new processor, such as the upcoming Galaxy S25. Currently, the giant is prioritizing a stable supply to meet demand.
Samsung claimed that its System LSI business, which designs camera sensors and smartphone processors, focuses on ensuring it can offer a stable supply of the Exynos 2500 for “flagship products.”
The recently launched Exynos W1000, based on a 3nm process, has received a positive response in the market. This suggests that the upcoming Exynos 2500, which is made using its second-generation GAA process, could also be a success.
It is highly expected that Samsung could power its upcoming Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ with the Exynos 2500 chipset. Whereas the Galaxy S25 Ultra has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 exclusively.
If the report is to be believed, the Exynos 2500 features a 10-core CPU, including one Cortex-X5 core clocked at 3.2GHz, three Cortex-A730 cores running at 2.3–2.5GHz, two Cortex-A730 cores clocked, and four Cortex-A520 cores. It could also feature Samsung’s own Xclipse 950 GPU, based on AMD’s RDNA3 architecture.
