Samsung Galaxy XR headset to rival Apple Vision Pro
Samsung is looking forward to making the AR and VR revolution more materialized, which it hasn’t yet, despite Apple’s Vision Pro launch.
The Korean brand Samsung is partnering with Qualcomm and Google to enter this competitive market with its own XR headset. Noticeably, the success of this venture has yet to be certain due to the overall market’s fluctuation and the challenges of bringing XR technology into mainstream use.
A tipster, Ice Universe, on X, shared a post and suggested that Samsung, Qualcomm, and Google are working on the same “next XR experience.” Apart from this, he also mentioned that the tentatively named ‘Galaxy XR’ has something similar to the upcoming Galaxy S25 flagship series. If the new report is to be believed, “some of the design and features of the Galaxy S25 take into account the Galaxy XR.”
The Galaxy XR should be a self-standing device with a dedicated, powerful processor and battery. It requires a quite high-resolution screen, ideally a Samsung-made OLEDoS display or at least a Sony micro-OLED.
Somewhere, it seems that the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy XR may have overlapping design languages. This will make it harder to predict what kind of design Samsung’s XR headset might adopt. Previously, it was reported that the Korean giant could release a developer version of the Galaxy XR this year, followed by the consumer version in the first quarter of 2025.

Galaxy S25 Slim will also adopt a 200MP camera
Similarly, like the Galaxy Z Fold SE was introduced with the 200MP camera, the Galaxy S25 Slim is also reportedly going to be equipped with the same camera that will also be available in the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
According to the report, a new module number SM-S937U was spotted in the IMEI date labels. It is further said to be the Galaxy S25 slime, which is expected to arrive with higher specifications.
Additionally, a popular Ice Universe claimed that the Galaxy S25 Slim exists and has an “Ultra” camera. However, this may cause confusion among users if the full setup will be exactly the same as the Galaxy S25 Ultra or if it is talking about just the primary camera.
It goes with the similar Galaxy Z Fold SE camera setup, so it may bring a 12 MP ultra wide camera and a 10 MP telephoto camera. Meanwhile, for the selfie camera, it may introduce a 12 MP front camera.
