Samsung is one of the leading brands in the tech industry. Despite being a demandable brand, it lost its crown-winning position in India during the second quarter of the year (Q2 2024).

We just entered the third quarter of 2024, and the metrics of Q2 2024 of market share were revealed. The metrics showed that Samsung lost its top position in India as its market share fell compared to Q1 2024.

In the first quarter, Samsung’s market share was nearly 20% in the Indian market, which shot down in the second quarter and has now reached nearly 15%. As compared to Q2 2023, the market share of Q2 2024 is quite disappointing.

On the other side, Xiaomi reclaimed the pole position in the Indian smartphone market in Q2 2024 over Samsung. Xiaomi grabbed approximately 20% of the market share. However, there’s no major or notable increase in the market share of Xiaomi since Q1 2024, but at least it remains constant. Meanwhile, Vivo also maintained its leading position and grabbed its position above Samsung along with Xioami.

The metrics showcased that the market share of Xiaomi and Vivo is similar during Q2 2024. It will remain to be seen whether the Korean brand can regain its top position in the Indian market.

Galaxy S25 Slim will also adopt a 200MP camera

Similarly, like the Galaxy Z Fold SE was introduced with the 200MP camera, the Galaxy S25 Slim is also reportedly going to be equipped with the same camera that will also be available in the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

According to the report, a new module number SM-S937U was spotted in the IMEI date labels. It is further said to be the Galaxy S25 slime, which is expected to arrive with higher specifications.

Additionally, a popular Ice Universe claimed that the Galaxy S25 Slim exists and has an “Ultra” camera. However, this may cause confusion among users if the full setup will be exactly the same as the Galaxy S25 Ultra or if it is talking about just the primary camera.

It goes with the similar Galaxy Z Fold SE camera setup, so it may bring a 12 MP ultra wide camera and a 10 MP telephoto camera. Meanwhile, for the selfie camera, it may introduce a 12 MP front camera.
