Goodbye to Samsung Messages: Google Messages Now Default on Galaxy Devices in the USA
The Korean giant has been shipping Galaxy smartphones and tablets with its in-house Messages app for a long time. Now it is dropping the pre-installed scheme of the Samsung Messages app on its Galaxy devices, at least in the US.
Instead of Samsung Messages, the giant is offering a pre-installed Google Messages app on its phones in the USA, starting with the recently launched Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The company informed us about this new move through its official forum.
However, currently, this change appears only in the USA. Whereas in other markets, such as Canada and Europe, the company still releases its Galaxy phones with re-installed Samsung Messages. This is being hinted at by a MaxWinebach, on X, who suggests that Samsung Messages is still pre-installed in Canadian and European builds for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6.
In 2022, the company started delivering its Galaxy phones with Google Messages as the default messaging app in particular regions. While in the rest of the regions, the company shipped its phones with Samsung Messages pre-installed. The reason behind this change appears to be Google’s increased focus on RCS messaging.

Samsung Health monitor support end from December 23
Samsung has officially notified that it will discontinue the software support for the Samsung Health Monitor from December 23. According to the information, the Samsung health monitor new version 1.4.1 will support Android OS 9.0; support for 10.0 and 11.0 will be discontinued.
However, it doesn’t mean that the older version users will not get the functionality of the app. But it will be limited to ending the software support for the app for the respective Android version.
So Samsung has recommended its users update their phones to the latest version before the deadline to enjoy the services without any interruptions.
