Considering that, Samsung is enthusiastically building new opportunities to significantly help adults manage their caregiving loads for their loved ones, as the brand just launched SmartThings Family Care service in the US.

Beginning on August 16th, 2024, an all-new Samsung SmartThings Family Care service will be available in the US, especially modified for the aging population, to help those individuals who are in need of better assistance and guidance in their loved ones’ regular activities.

This latest service will significantly utilize the SmartThings platform along with smart home devices that will certainly offer individuals their loved ones’ schedule management, live activity notifications, medicine reminders, and location-based care. 

For tackling the struggles that the caregiving role offers, the SmartThings Family Care service provides peace of mind by providing alerts to the caregiver if any abnormality is detected within their loved ones’ daily routines, allowing them to set reminders regarding their loved ones’ daily medications, location-based notifications when their loved ones arrive or leave a place, and also by setting up automations to help caregivers turn off appliances when no one is home. 

Moreover, Samsung has made a great move by launching the SmartThings family care service. With the integration of advanced AI technology, the caregiving population will have smarter, more intuitive solutions, along with ensuring a healthy and safe life for both the caregivers and their elder loved ones. 

On that note, the new Samsung SmartThings Family Care service can be downloaded from the SmartThings app under the Life tab.

Samsung is constantly working to make the Galaxy smartphone ecosystem safe; now, with the latest development, the company is working with the Korean Internet and Security Agency (KISA) to provide a new malicious message blocking feature.” or Malware Protection feature.

In details, the’malicious message blocking feature” is applied to the message app in the upcoming update from the Galaxy store. However, it is worth noticing that the feature is officially arriving limited to South Korea. the feature will be available for the Galaxy smartphones that are working on One UI 6.1 or higher.

The collaboration between Samsung and KISA isn’t new; both companies have shaken hands back in October to develop the malicious message block feature. According to KISA, there are 1.5 million daily spams reported, which also send dangerous links, so on the basis of this analysis, both companies have developed the feature.

The latest security feature is already tested on some smartphones earlier this year to verify the function and complete optimization. Now the company has started rolling out the feature through new message app update
