Samsung is now rolling out the September 2024 security patch to several Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy S20 FE, and Galaxy A54. If you are using any of the devices, then you should check for the latest update to ensure the safety of your device.

September 2024 security patch: what’s new?

The September 2024 security update is live in Canada for multiple devices. For starters, it is a normal security patch that doesn’t bring any major changes, which you can check visually, but at the same time it will ensure enhancements of the security of the devices.

Users who own the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra series devices can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers G991WVLSCGXH1, G996WVLSCGXH1, and G998WVLSCGXH, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy A54 are getting new updates with the firmware versions G781WVLSGHXH1 and A546WVLS8CXH3, respectively.

According to the official documentation, the September 2024 security patch has brought more than 60 patches, and Google has introduced 46 patches to enhance the system security of the Android OS. Meanwhile, the Korean giant is also including 23 more exclusive patches to improve the overall performance and changes.

Along with this, the update is also expected to bring some more new features that are taken through the One UI 6.1.1, as these devices are not likely to be eligible to get the dedicated update.
