Verizon expands October 2024 patch to more Galaxy devices
Earlier today, Galaxy S21 and Galaxy A14 5G received the latest update in the form of October 2024 patch Now, with further expansion, Verizon is rolling out latest security patch update to more devices, including Galaxy Z Fold 3, Flip 3 and Galaxy A54 devices.
October 2024 patch reaches to locked Galaxy Z Fold 3, Flip 3 and A54
Samsung has rolled out the October 2024 patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 with the firmware version numbers F926USQS8JXJ1 and F711USQS9JXJ1, respectively. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A54 is getting the same update with the firmware version number A546VSQS9CXI3.
As of writing, the update is spotted on the Verizon locked devices, and it is expected that it will be available on more carriers in the coming days.
According to the official changelog, the latest update doesn’t bring any new feature for the devices , but it is expected that the company will improve the security of the devices.

Samsung has mentioned in the October 2024 patch bulletin that this month the company will address more than 40 different vulnerabilities with the latest update. This includes the patches added by Google to eradicate the possible threats in the Android OS.
