Samsung has started rolling out the October 2024 patch update for the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy A14 devices; this is the initial update for these devices in any region. Meanwhile, the company has already rolled out the update to many other flagship devices.

Samsung has rolled out the October 2024 update for the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy A14 in the US; more specifically, the update has reached the Verizon locked units with the firmware version numbers G99xUSQSDGXJ2 and A146USQS9DXI2, respectively. It is expected that the company will soon expand the update to more devices in the coming days.

The October 2024 patch update for the devices brought some new patches to enhance their overall security. According to the official documentation, the October 2024 patch brought more than 40 fixes, whereas Google brought some 30 new fixes for the Android OS. Also, Samsung has added 12 more patches exclusively for Galaxy devices.
